There are several opportunities for recycling agricultural plastics including plastic packaging at the following locations:
- Queensland’s Council depots – please check if your local council is participating
- Resellers – most resellers will accept your fertilizer bags back with various schemes collecting directly from them
- On farm – where significant volumes exist recyclers may collect directly from the farm (minimum tonnages/volumes apply).
Many resellers for Incitec Pivot and Impact Fertilisers operate a take-back service for their fertiliser bags including the one 1 tonne bags.
Resellers/Dealers for Incitec Pivot can be found at HERE.
Dealers for Impact Fertilisers can be found HERE.
As at 31 January 2017, around 786,200 kg of one-tonne plastic fertilizer sacks from Incited Pivot and Impact Fertilizers have been collected by Farm Waste Recovery and made available for processing into re-useable plastic. Please check on the Farm Waste Recovery web page for more details.
