Vegetation management project
QFF can assist landholders to understand and comply with Queensland’s State Regrowth Vegetation laws. In addition, QFF is encouraging and assisting farmers to achieve best practice in vegetation management systems and helping them with improvements in productivity and environmental standards.
QFF’s work on the Regrowth Vegetation Code collaborates with the Department of Environment and Resource Management, AgForce and some regional Natural Resource Management groups to establish an awareness campaign involving:
• a vegetation helpline,
• a Regrowth Code framework ready-reckoner,
• face to face workshops and seminars,
• media articles and updates in farm newsletters and websites, and
• property visits.
