Energy Savers
The Energy Savers program aims to help farmers reduce energy costs by supporting the accelerated adoption of improvements in on-farm energy use.
What is it?
Over 130 audits of on-farm systems are being conducted to identify suitable energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities. Energy Savers is funded by the State Government and delivered by Ergon Energy & QFF.
Objective
The objective of the Energy Savers program is to assist farmers reduce energy costs by supporting the accelerated adoption of improvements in on-farm energy use.
QFF is a leader is natural disaster recovery and resilience projects, working on state and national project to assist farms reduce the impacts of and recovery from natural disaster events.
What is it?
Our natural disaster projects help land holder’s recovery from natural disasters, manage risks on farm and improve their resilience planning. By working with our industry members, governments and directly with farmers QFF is making a real difference within Queensland across Australia.
Objective
Assist farm businesses in returning to full operational capacity post natural disaster with technical advice, financial advice and emotional support services. By working with landholders, government and key stakeholders QFF aims to improve the resilience of the agricultural sectors to natural disaster events.
The Reef Alliance is a partnership that recognises and works with land managers to protect and maintain the intrinsic values of the Great Barrier Reef.
What is it?
The Reef Alliance is a partnership of rural industry, NRM bodies and WWF- Australia that provides a mechanism for stakeholders to lead and coordinate an adaptive program of land use practice change within the Great Barrier Reef catchments.
Objective
The Reef Alliance provides an engagement platform to ensure government policy, strategy and program delivery aligned to Reef 2050 and by doing so helps deliver an increase the total investment for the GBR catchment, industries and community.
This Rural Jobs & Skills Alliance (RJSA) of industry members and government provides leadership and advice to government, service providers and other organisations on employment, skills, industry training and workforce planning issues on behalf of Queensland’s agriculture industries.
What is it?
The Rural Jobs and Skills Alliance (RJSA) developed from industries need to engage more with the education and training sectors and the new Queensland government’s commitment to creating and supporting jobs across Queensland.
Objective
RJSA provides strategic advice, recommendations and feedback on: agriculture workforce supply & demand, training packages relevant to Queensland, performance of strategies, programs to attract and retain skilled workers in the sector.
