The Queensland Farmers’ Federation and the Queensland Government are offering a one-day introduction to precision agriculture for extension officers and industry consultants.
Learn about sourcing data for paddock planning, including regional information, satellite imagery, and proximal surveys. Use EM survey techniques to run through the process from data capture, quality checking, sampling site selection, and generating attribute maps. And during field visits discuss what remotely or proximally sensed data indicates about paddock and soil properties.
Participants will understand how to source data, and how it is processed to produce maps that represent paddock variability. Case studies and advanced products available to the industry will also be presented.
