The audit recommended replacing a replacing a 55kW pump and motor with a smaller and more efficient pump and motor with an annual cost saving over $2,000 and a payback period of just over 7 years. Emission savings have been estimated to be 7.4 t CO2-e per year.

 

Farm profile

The farm is located in Gatton and comprises a number of lots used to grow different vegetables throughout the year. The irrigation method is a solid set ring main with sprinklers and is supplied by two pumps. Irrigation continues year round with the irrigation time dependent on the season and type of vegetables being cultivated.
