Industry Skills Advisor for Agribusiness

The Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) hosts the Industry Skills Advisor (ISA) for Agribusiness in Queensland.

Our ISA is available to support agribusinesses to navigate the vocational education and training (VET) sector and explore subsidised training and incentive opportunities on offer.

  • About the Program

Industry Skills Advisors (ISA) have been established by the Queensland Government reporting to and engaging with the Department of Education Small Business and Training (DESBT).

The role aligns with the Skills for Queensland – Great training for quality jobs priorities, which includes delivering an expanded focus inclusive of employment, small business and regional skills needs.

The ISA utilises the Rural Jobs & Skills Alliance (RJSA) as the central industry reference group for agriculture, horticulture, forestry and fisheries stakeholder engagement.

The ISA acts as a conduit between industry and government, providing advice to government on the current and future trends, skill needs and preferred pathways in the VET sector.

  • How can the Industry Skills Advisor support agribusinesses?

The Industry Skills Advisor (ISA) can provide employers, small business, and industry stakeholders:

    • high quality, evidence-based industry advice and intelligence about current and emerging industry direction
    • regional skills needs and training solutions
    • jobs growth
    • employment opportunities.
