- As a Senate inquiry into Red Imported Fire Ants (RIFA) continues, questions have been raised around a lack of research funding, with the CSIRO stating it had only received $1 million over the course of 10 years to combat RIFA. Read more here.

- Growing Future Tourism (GFT) is a $30 million program, which provides financial support to eligible Queensland tourism operators, not-for-profit organisations and local governments to deliver new and enhanced tourism infrastructure or experiences, including agritourism. - Egg farmers are preparing to take the Victorian government to court if new animal welfare standards force them out of business. Similar legislation is set to impact all states following a national commitment to phase-out caged egg production by 2036. Read more here.
