  2. Registrations open this week for the 2026 Pineapple Field Days, delivered by Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers on behalf of the Australian pineapple industry. The event is supported by Hort Innovation through pineapple industry levies and Australian Government contributions. Read more here.

Applications are now open for the Queensland Biosecurity Ambassador Program, which supports people to build their skills, grow their networks and raise awareness of biosecurity in their local communities.   5. Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority has expanded disaster assistance for communities impacted by recent severe weather events, including Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle. Additional LGAs are now eligible for producer grants and concessional loans, with support available under a single disaster declaration covering multiple events since December 2025. Read more here.
