- Australian cotton growers are being encouraged to nominate themselves or someone they know for Cotton Australia’s 2024 Australian Cotton Industry awards. Read more here. - QFF is hosting two free farm business resilience workshops in March. The Resilience in Agriculture workshop will take place on Thursday, 14 March in Dalby, featuring Australian Farmer of the Year Nigel Corish as the keynote speaker. The Farming with Floods workshop will take place on Tuesday, 26 March in Boonah.

- Biosecurity Queensland is undertaking tracking activities to identify the potential source of a varroa mite that was discovered at the Port of Brisbane last week.Beekeepers are encouraged to report varroa mite to Biosecurity Queensland by calling 13 25 23. Read more here.
- QFF and members Canegrowers and Cotton Australia will be presenting at a public hearing on fire ants today as part of an ongoing Senate Inquiry. Fire ants are a very aggressive, invasive species that pose a significant risk to agriculture and the wider economy. Read more here.
