- QFF has partnered with Ergon Energy and Energex to offer farmers belonging to any of QFF’s 20 industry members a 50 per cent co-contribution a maximum of $500 to match the funds of installing up to 10 rotamarkers on their properties. - Queensland’s COVID Vaccination Plan has been released providing freedoms for those who are fully vaccinated including being able to cross the border from interstate hotspots. This will be achieved in stages once 70 and 80% of eligible Qlders are double-dosed. For more information, click HERE.

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries has established an engagement hub to help agribusinesses have a conversation with their employees who wish to get the COVID-19 vaccine. - Farmers impacted by recent hail and storm damage can apply for an Individual Disaster Stricken Property (IDSP) declaration to access freight subsidies of up to $5,000, as well as Disaster Assistance loans of up to $250,000 at a concessional interest rate to help fix damaged infrastructure such as fences, sheds and hail netting. - After Get Ready Queensland Week, farmers are encouraged to identify any infrastructure at risk of storm damage, clear debris from drainage channels and gutters, have a written emergency plan, allocate priority tasks, ensure access to a backup generator in the event of a power outage and check your insurance cover for storm damage. - Five sugarcane farmers have successfully traded 18,000 Reef Credits in the second ever tranche of Reef Credits to be sold, recognising, valuing and monetising the critical actions they undertake to integrate sustainable practices and provide clean water to the Great Barrier Reef. Details HERE.
