The Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) has announced a new partnership with award-winning Queensland-based advisory firm Power Tynan to support farmers and agricultural businesses with specialist accounting and leadership services.
With offices in Toowoomba, Stanthorpe, Brisbane and Roma, Power Tynan provides taxation and accounting services, business valuations, sustainability and ESG advisory, superannuation and wealth planning services, finance broking, management accounting and strategic business advice.
QFF CEO Jo Sheppard said access to high-quality financial and strategic advice was critical to the long-term success of Queensland farm businesses.
“Changes to taxation, superannuation and regulatory requirements can significantly affect the cash flow and succession planning of family farm operations,” Ms Sheppard said.
“Staying ahead of compliance is not just about meeting obligations, it’s about protecting profitability and strengthening the long-term sustainability of agricultural businesses.”
Ms Sheppard said the partnership would also explore new leadership development opportunities for rural and agricultural leaders.
“QFF and Power Tynan are excited to collaborate on a tailored leadership initiative for the sector, and we look forward to sharing further details later this year,” she said.
Power Tynan CEO and Executive Director Amanda Kenafake said the partnership aligned strongly with the firm’s commitment to regional Queensland.
“QFF has a strong track record in supporting farm businesses to plan around market, economic and climatic shocks to support their long-term viability,” Ms Kenafake said.
“We look forward to working with QFF and its members to strengthen business capability, leadership capacity and financial resilience across the agricultural sector.”
