- The Agtech and Logistics Hub in Toowoomba have announced their 2024 GRDC GroundUp Program. Innovators are invited to express their interest in participating in the program which will see successful applicants mentored by farmers, growers and entrepreneurs who will provide real-world experience and advise to help founders advance their tech. - Save the date: Turf Queensland’s Paddock to Pitch Field Day is taking place from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 16 July 2024 on the Sunshine Coast. The event will feature tech-talk sessions, field demonstrations, networking opportunities and an expo zone. Learn more here.
- Funding has been announced to aid in North Queensland’s disaster recovery with up to $150,000 set to be available to farmers impacted in the 2019 and 2023 floods. Grants will be used to replenish livestock numbers and replace damaged fencing and other infrastructure. Read more here.
- A new campaign, Fresh veg, deliciously affordable, is encouraging Australians to eat a healthier, more cost-effective diet. This campaign comes following a recent consumer survey revealed more than half of all Australians are buying less fruit and vegetables due to pricing.
