  1. The Long-awaited foreign-owned farm register has bee released by the Australian Government. In Queensland: 17.7 million hectares or 1,345 propertiesare foreign owned with the largest national interest being from the United Kingdom.
  2. QFF industry member Flower Association Queensland will launch its new appthat delivers the Australian Flower Industry magazine right to your phone. The launch is in conjunction with Flowers Week 17-25 September.

  5. QFF industry member Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation (QDO) has slams the Victorian Farmers’ Federation (VFF) & Coles milk deal labeling it a ‘PR Stunt’ and a sellout of members.
  6. QFF industry member Cotton Australia has how the ‘just add water’ approach won’t work and is calling on the Northern Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) to consider other complimentary measures.
  7. The 2016 sugar cane crush has hit its halfway mark with records already fallingat several FNQ mills despite the recent wet weather. The hope is to finish the crush by the end of December.
