10 things to know from QFF – 29 January 2018

  1. Last financial year Foodbank redistributed 3.6 million kilos of fresh produce from Queensland farmers to struggling families. Wide Bay farmers were the largest suppliersdonating 1.3 million kilos of ‘unwanted’ food.
  2. Primary producers can now access free expert financial analysis and advice through the government’s Queensland Farm Debt Restructure Office. Details HERE.
  3. Aussie farmers and dairy producers are set to benefit from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal which will open new markets for exports. Details HERE.
  4. suspected case of Panama disease has been identified on a Tully banana farm in Far North Queensland. Details HERE.
