  5. The Australian Government recently announced a new measure to increase the luxury car tax (LCT) refund for primary producers. This new measure is now law and will commence from 1 January 2020. For more information about how this new LCT refund will apply, click HERE.
  6. Despite significant opposition from the agriculture sector, the Queensland Government’s Reef protection regulations were passed by Parliament, with the new regulations now in force. Producers are invited to attend drop-in sessions in Ayr and Bundaberg this week, more information HERE.
  7. In its first year of business the Land Access Ombudsman has frequently dealt with washdown and weed hygiene concerns, property damage and access. If you have a land access dispute on your hands, whether one of the above or something different, get help HERE.
