The Queensland Farmers’ Federation has announced the appointment of their new CEO, Clare Murray, who will take over the reins of the organisation on 27 May.

Ms Murray comes to the role with seven years experience as the CEO of the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ), and a strong business development and stakeholder management background.

In announcing the appointment, QFF President Joanne Grainger stated;

“Clare is a highly motivated and passionate advocate, with a strong CEO background. I look forward to working with her, continuing to build on QFF’s work as the collective voice for intensive agricultural industries in Queensland.”

“Clare is an exceptional leader, who understands the challenges facing advocacy organisations in meeting the needs of members in a dynamic political and economic climate.”

Reflecting on her appointment, Ms Murray said: “I am thrilled to have been given this new challenge and to be able to apply my skills and experience in the service of our State’s intensive farmers.”

“We are in the midst of a critical time, when policy makers need to understand more than ever the challenges being faced by the industry.”
