- Queensland Health has launched a rapid response plan after a farm worker in the Wide Bay region tested positive to COVID-19. - Central Queensland farmers will be able to tender for water allocations of 500 megalitres and more from the upcoming Rookwood Weir after June 23, with contracts to be in place in September. More information HERE.
- The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is conducting research to gather an understanding of the biosecurity practices used in the state to help protect Queensland from biosecurity risks and threats, particularly African Swine Fever. Participate in the survey HERE.
- Primary producers, small businesses or non-profits who suffered direct damage as a result of the North and Far North Queensland Monsoon Trough still have time to apply for a Special Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant from QRIDA to assist with recovery costs. - The social licence of Queensland’s natural gas industry has been tested against the ‘Golden Rules’ of gas – a set of principles developed by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
