- RCS Australia is continuing to expand understanding of carbon projects through the Carbon 101 – C-Projects series. In this latest article, Dr Terry McCosker OAM explores the details of getting involved in a Carbon project including how to express your interest and managing potential risks. - QFF is pleased to welcome Tim Bradley to the Industry Recovery & Resilience Officer role. Tim will be assisting QFF member businesses that have been impacted by recent flooding events, with a focus of using the Farm Business Resilience Plan (FBRP) as a vehicle for increasing their resilience to flood events. - A Senate inquiry into regional bank closures is now underway with the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee now asking for submissions to report back to parliament in December 2023. The inquiry is seeking to understand a number of items including the economic and welfare impacts as well as the effects of removing face-to-face cash services. - The Department of Environment and Science is calling for submissions in response to an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) prepared for the proposed Surat Basin Carbon Capture and Storage Project. The Project is seeking to conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) (predominately carbon dioxide (CO2)) storage injection testing located south-west of Moonie, Queensland. Submissions close on 23rd February.
