The Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce Inc. has secured over $3.5 million from the Australian Government’s National Water Infrastructure Development Fund to conduct a feasibility study into building a dam and associated water distribution infrastructure at Emu Swamp.
The Stanthorpe & Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce invite members of the public to express an interest in participating in, and obtaining water from the Emu Swamp Dam and water supply scheme project.
Parties interested in securing new or additional water in Stanthorpe, Applethorpe, Amiens, Pozieres, Severnlea, The Summit, Glen Aplin, Cottonvale, Ballandean, Thulimbah and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend.
Community Session – 7pm, Monday 19 March 2018 – International Club, Stanthorpe
- For interested members of the local community to be updated on the feasibility study process for the Emu Swamp Dam project.
- Members of the Project’s Steering Committee and feasibility study team will be present.

Customer Session – 7pm, Tuesday 20 March 2018 – International Club, Stanthorpe
- This meeting will outline the potential scheme and the process to express an interest in securing water as part of the feasibility study.
